This project star- ted 2003. There are about eight people who have worked on this project, and it is on-going. The pur- pose of the project is to gather old photographs from people of the area, and attempt to identify the people, buildings, and locations shown in those old photographsCopies are made of the photographs and text added to them.  Because of the particular interests of the persons who have been working on these, the photos to-date have come mostly from the village of Miemoisby.

The map project began in 2002. This project is held as a course sponsored by the evening school in Vörå.   Each year the focus is on one or two of the villages in the area. Participants work on labeling maps from about 1930 with the names of farm houses, and all other buildings, including the outhouses, as well as the fields and the land areas. In 2008-2009, work was done on the villages of Miemoisby and Koskeby.

Work began in 2005 on de- veloping a dictionary that will translate Vörå dialect into modern Swedish. Under the direction of Olof Påhls, the group working on this project expects this dictionary to contain over 7,000 words and phrases at completion.
